Looking for the best places to eat in Copenhagen with kids? You’re in the right place!

As someone who’s lived in Copenhagen for years and dined out with my nieces many times, I know exactly what makes a restaurant truly family-friendly—spacious seating, play areas, activity corners, high chairs, and a special children’s menu they will love.

While many restaurants in Copenhagen offer children’s menus, the best ones ensure kids are entertained while waiting for their food and also eat them healthy.

So, where should you go? I’ve put together a list of the best family-friendly restaurants in Copenhagen. Let’s go!

1. Pincho Nation

Pincho Nation is a circus-themed restaurant in Copenhagen that is definitely worth checking out. With two locations in the city—Axeltorv and Nørreport—this place is a hit with families.

The restaurant is decorated with clowns, bright colors, and a festive vibe year round. Even the staff play along, dressed in circus costumes with glittery makeup, adding to the fun.

Ordering food here is done through an app-based system. The menu is Spanish tapas-style, meaning small portions. If you’re an adult, you’ll probably need at least 3-5 dishes to feel full, but that means you can try multiple dishes.

The food is served to everyone on tiny plates with children’s cutlery. The non-alcoholic drinks with candies are a must-try! Plus, you get free popcorn as soon as you walk in.

One of the quirkiest things? The talking toilet. Yes, it’s these little details that make the place so much fun for kids.

2. Food Markets In Copenhagen

You can’t miss the food markets in Copenhagen! They’re the perfect place to try a variety of international cuisines all in one spot, especially if you are visiting with kids.

Reffen is my top pick. It’s not just about food—there is always so much more happening!

There’s a large skate park and the whole space is huge with plenty of room to roam around. You’ll also get fantastic harbor views, making it a great spot to relax.

There are often events and live music, adding to the fun atmosphere. And if you’re visiting in winter, Reffen has a large ice skating rink, making it an even more exciting place for kids.

3. Frankies Pizza

Frankies Pizza has many branches, but if you’re visiting with kids, the one in Frederiksberg has a pink-colored playroom that makes the whole dining experience more fun for little ones.

While waiting for their food, kids can jump into the ball pit, flip through books, or get creative at the activity corner. There’s even a “build your own pizza” activity in the play area!

The setup makes it one of the most kid-friendly pizza spots in Copenhagen. But if you’re after the best pizza in town, I’d personally recommend Picco Pizza.

Tip: If you’re exploring the city with kids, it’s always a good idea to stock up on a few freshly baked pastries. They’re an easy and convenient snack to serve.
