Looking for affordable luggage storage in Copenhagen so you can explore the city hands-free?

Whether you’ve arrived before check-in or after check-out, have a layover, a late flight, or exploring Copenhagen for just a few hours, dragging your suitcase around the city is the last thing you want to do.

After all, Copenhagen is best experienced on foot or by bike, and that’s much more enjoyable without heavy bags slowing you down.

As someone who lives in Copenhagen and regularly helps travelers plan their trips, I know how stress-free it’ll be to drop your bags.

I’ve used the service, researched different bag storage providers, and compared their prices, locations, and convenience, so you don’t have to waste time figuring it out after you arrive.

In this guide, I’ll share the best luggage storage in Copenhagen.

Get ready to explore Copenhagen without carrying extra weight!

If you’re short on time, here are my top picks: LuggageHero for hourly or day storage when you have one bag, and luggage storage at Copenhagen Central Station if you’re travelling with multiple bags.

Luggage Storage at Copenhagen Airport

Copenhagen Airport has unmanned self-service luggage lockers in two parking lots: Parking P4 on the ground floor and Parking P&A on the first floor. You’ll find directional signs at the airport that guide you to the lockers.

Luggage storage in Copenhagen Airport

Baggage storage at Copenhagen Airport is accessible 24 hours a day, and you can store your bags for up to 7 consecutive days. There are 330 lockers in three sizes.

You cannot reserve the lockers in advance, but I’ve always found availability here.

All you have to do is find an available locker in the size you need, scan the QR code on the locker, and follow the instructions. Payment is made by card.

Luggage Storage at Copenhagen Central Station

If you have multiple bags and need to store them for the whole day, the luggage store at Copenhagen Central Station is the best.

The DSB Baggage Center has automated lockers where you can leave your luggage for up to 10 days. It only offers 24-hour storage, not hourly storage.

The lockers are in the basement of Copenhagen Central Station (Hovedbanegård), near the Reventlowsgade/Istedgade entrance/exit. Inside the station, follow the suitcase signs downstairs.

  • Small locker: DKK 70 per 24 hours
  • Large locker: DKK 90 per 24 hours

The Opening hours are Monday to Saturday, 5:30 AM to 1 AM, and Sunday, 6 AM to 1 AM.

Since you pay per locker rather than per bag, this is a good choice if you have several smaller bags.

Luggage Storage at Copenhagen Hotels

Many Copenhagen hotels have luggage storage where guests can leave bags before check-in or after check-out.

Most hotels in Copenhagen charge fees, while a few offer it for free. It’s always worth asking at reception, as many hotels will store your bags for you.

Meninger Hotel Copenhagen and Wakeup Copenhagen, for example, charge extra for luggage storage.

Luggage Storage at Hostels

Most hostels in Copenhagen have a luggage room, but security can vary.

These storage rooms are often unmanned and may not have security cameras, so you leave your bags at your own risk, among the huge pile of other bags. If your luggage is lost or stolen, you generally won’t receive compensation.

Luggage storage at hotels and hostels

Some hostels also offer paid lockers, which are a better option if you want to keep your belongings secured.

Luggage Storage Apps in Copenhagen

Bounce, LuggageHero, and Radical Storage are popular luggage storage services in Copenhagen. You’ll find luggage storage locations across the city, for both short and long storage.

They partner with hotels, shops, cafés, restaurants, lockers, and other local businesses. You can book through their app or website, often with free cancellation and 24/7 support.

All you have to do is book a location, drop off your bags, and collect them within the location’s opening hours.

Bounce

Bounce charges based on bag size and number of bags. There are no hourly rates, but prices change slightly depending on the location, plus a €1.75 service fee. Each booking includes up to €10,000 in protection against theft, loss, or damage.

LuggageHero

LuggageHero is the best option if you need hourly luggage storage. LuggageHero charges by the number of bags, regardless of their size or weight.

It costs 15 DKK/hour or 45 DKK/day per bag, plus a 20 DKK service fee. You can add 200 DKK for insurance up to DKK 18,000 per bag.

Radical Storage

Radical Storage has 77 luggage storage locations in Copenhagen and charges by the day. The price is calculated based on the bag size and number of bags. There is a €1.99 service fee per bag and €3,000 guarantee coverage.

Stasher

Stasher is relatively new in Copenhagen, with 18 storage locations. Price depends on the number and size of bags, plus a €1.73 fee. It only offers day-based pricing. Each booking has up to $13,000 protection.

Cheap Luggage Storage App

Among luggage storage service apps, Stasher is the cheapest luggage storage in Copenhagen.

If you only need storage for a few hours rather than a full day, I’d choose LuggageHero because it offers hourly pricing.

Other Places to Store Luggage

1. Segway Tours Office

The Segway Tours Office has more than 400 m² of space in Central Copenhagen and offers luggage storage for DKK 65 (€8) per bag. It’s open 8:30 AM–5:00 PM every day, all year round. No reservation needed.

Luggage storage is free if you book one of their Segway tours or rent a bike.

2. Copenhagen Luggage Service

Copenhagen Luggage Service offers two useful options: luggage storage and luggage transfer. It’s a particularly good choice if you want to combine the two, although it is more expensive than the luggage storage apps.

Luggage transfer: Leave your bags at their office at Terminal 3 of Copenhagen Airport, and they’ll deliver them to your hotel, cruise ship, airport, or another chosen location. The service costs €12.95 per bag, with a minimum order of €38 for transfers to or from Copenhagen city.

Luggage storage: You can leave your bags at their airport office, which is open 7 AM–7 PM. There is no hourly rate, but they offer storage for more than 7 days. The first night costs €30 for up to 3 bags; extending for 2–7 nights costs €10 per night per bag, and from night 8 onwards, it is €7 per night per bag, plus an €8 handling fee per bag.

Cheapest Luggage Storage in Copenhagen

Most luggage storage apps, such as Bounce, Stasher, and Radical Storage, charge on a per-bag basis for 24-hour storage. Only LuggageHero has hourly baggage storage facilities.

The cheapest luggage storage in Copenhagen depends on how long you need to store your bags and how many bags you have.

  • For a few hours: LuggageHero is the only available and best option at DKK 15 per hour per bag, plus a DKK 20 service fee.
  • For 24 hours – one bag: Stasher is the cheapest at €3.02 per bag per day, plus a €1.73 service fee.
  • For 24 hours – multiple bags: The DSB Baggage Center at Copenhagen Central Station is cheaper. You pay DKK 70 for a small locker or DKK 90 for a large locker, rather than paying separately for each bag.

Although Stasher is the cheapest, I highly recommend LuggageHero for its multiple locations, easy access, and short-term storage options, while DSB lockers are better if you have several bags.

Safest Luggage Storage in Copenhagen

Copenhagen is generally a safe city, and the luggage storage services mentioned in this guide are safe options.

All luggage storage apps also provide insurance or protection for your belongings.

I’ve personally had a good experience with the DSB Baggage Center at Copenhagen Central Station and LuggageHero, and both are options I would recommend.
