Den Lille Kulturnat (The Little Culture Night), also known as Family Culture Night, is a special evening dedicated to children up to 12 years old and their families.
Held annually in Copenhagen and Frederiksberg since 2019, this event is all about having fun, learning, and spending quality time together.
It’s a special night when museums, theaters, libraries, and cultural institutions open their doors, offering exclusive activities designed just for kids.
From interactive tours, workshops, and games to exciting performances, every event is unique and can only be experienced on this one night each year.
When is Den Lille Kulturnat?
Den Lille Kulturnat happens every year on Friday of Week 11, with several events commencing from 16:00 to 20:00. In 2025, it falls on March 14.
Den Little Kulturnat Passes
To attend Den Little Kulturnat events, you’ll need a Den Little Kulturnat Pass. It gives you access to all the experiences lined up for the evening.
The Culture Pass can be bought only online, and it comes with a downloadable PDF with an event overview that helps to plan your evening.
One pass costs 125 DKK, and the best part? It also includes free public transportation of metro, trains, and buses across zones 1-99 in Copenhagen from 15:00 to 21:00.
With one pass, you can bring two kids under 12 for free.
Tickets go on sale on March 3, and since everything is digital, there’s no need to print your pass. Just keep it on your phone and show it at the entrances to the events. But don’t forget—without the pass, you won’t be able to join the activities!
Did you know? Kulturnat, held in October, is a cultural event for all ages, while Den Lille Kulturnat, held in March, is specially designed for children aged 2-12 and the accompanying adults.
